“Hers is a name to watch”
Folking, 2025

Grace Elizabeth Harvey is a competition-winning, PRS funded singer-songwriter and cellist based in Liverpool. Her debut EP, Other Faith, released in May 2025, established her unique brand of philosophical folk characterised by harmonically intricate guitar, crystalline vocals and winding, unconventional lyricism.
Her debut year brought two UK wide tours, including a break into London’s grassroots folk scene, sharing stages with the likes of Josienne Clarke, Villagers, James Yorkston and Florist. She won the Young Songwriter’s Competition 2025 and has since been awarded the PPL Momentum Accelerator Fund for her next upcoming EP, Songs of Devotion.
With a penchant for exceptionally captivating live performances, receiving praise from national press (BBC Introducing, Still Listening, Narc, Fatea, Folking) and grassroots fans alike, Grace is quickly proving herself to be of the UK’s finest emerging songsmiths and a ‘new name to watch’ (FATEA).
Grace’s practice is led by philosophical and poetic curiosity alongside a desire to sustain her creative exploration through live connection.
“Every aspect of the music-making, from the instrumentation to the vocal delivery, reveal an artist who is so clearly at ease; everything seems so natural”
Still Listening, 2025
Cellist
Grace has a classical background, attending the prestigious Junior Royal Northern College of Music from the ages of 16-18, where she studied joint first-study cello and operatic singing. Grace’s rapid progress on the cello, picking it up only at the age of 14, earned her a Trinity Talent prize in 2018. She achieved Grade 8 distinction after just 4 years of tuition, alongside a traditional education.
Grace was part of the orchestral charity Early Music as Education since it was founded in 2017, picking up the values of community music making and ambition for technical excellence, which feed into her original music making. She now teaches for the charitable organisation as a cello tutor.

Cello features strongly in the studio versions of Grace’s songs. In her debut Other Faith, it functions as a third voice.
Grace now works both as a session and live cellist and has collaborated in a wide range of projects, from other songwriters (Jessica Dives, Creepy Crawly, Zara Smile) to indie bands (Mariner, Georgia Johnson).
